Dec 9: D7 Salvation: The New Life

Goal: To learn the aspects of salvation and show how a person can receive Jess Christ as Savior and Lord.

1. What is the only ground for justification and salvation? 1 Peter 1:18-19
being cleansed by his blood

2. How are we saved? Acts 4:10, 12
Through Jesus

3. On what basis are we saved? Titus 3:5
a. not on the basis of good works
b. but according to the Holy Spirit

4. What part does man play? John 1:12
We must believe

5. Let us remind ourselves what Ephesians 2:8-9 says about salvation:
a. By what have we been saved? Grace
Whose grace? God's grace
b. Through what have we been saved? believing faith
Whose faith? Ours
c. How did we get that faith?
a gift from God
d. Salvation is not of what?
It is not based on our efforts

What God Does
When you believe Christ and receive Him personally, what does John 1:12 say God does?
he give us the right to become children of God
