Goal: To become aware of the greatness of God by understanding characteristics of His nature.

WHAT GOD IS LIKE

Psalm 139:24 Omniscient - all knowing
Psalm 139:7-12 Omnipresent - being present everywhere simultaneously
Jeremiah 32:17 Omnipotent - unlimited power
Leviticus 20:26 Holy - belonging to a divine power (God)
John 4:24 Spirit - not a physical being, the Holy Spirit
Psalm 90:2 Eternal - without start of finish
Malachi 3:6 Unchangeable - unable to change or alter
Ephesians 1:11 Sovereign - supreme authority
Romans 2:4 Good - being positive in nature
1 John 1:9 Just - fair in one's actions
1 John 4:8 Love - tender feelings towards another, a sense of oneness

MONOTHEISM - belief in one God, (mono = one; theism = belief in God)
POLYTHEISM - belief in many gods, (poly = many)

THE TRINITY
Mark 12:29 - one Lord
1 Corinthians 8:4 - one God

1 Corinthians 8:6 - Father is God
1 John 5:5 - Son is God (Jesus)
Acts 5:3-4 - Holy Spirit is God

Father is God, but not Son or Spirit

Spirit is God, but not Father or Son

Frozen, liquid, and steam

Like an egg?
Shell, yoke, and white

Hebrews 11:6 We should accpet the existend of God with faith
Psalm 14:1 A fool refuses to accept the existence of God

Every name of God reveals his character.
